IDC gets contract extension
International Datacasting Corporation wins a $2.47-million contract extension to continue to supply the Canadian Forces Personnel Support Agency (CFPSA) with broadcast services for Canadian peacekeepers and military overseas. The extension covers the second year of a contract worth more than $7 million to the satellite services provider over approximately three years. Using its SuperFlex broadband DVB solution, IDC is delivering content in both French and English around the clock to Canadian Forces Radio and Television (CFRT), including live news and sports, entertainment, regional programming and coverage of special events. “Canadians serving overseas deserve the best and IDC has provided us with the capabilities to make sure they stay connected to what’s happening at home,” said Mark Larose, manager, deployment policies and resources, CFPSA. “The consistent quality and performance that IDC has shown in delivering broadcast programming to our troops has been exceptional.”
