Third Brigade’s host intrusion prevention system is incorporated into Florida-based CrossTec Corporation’s Activeworx Security Center, a security information and event management (SIEM) software solution. Third Brigade’s Deep Security will enhance CrossTec’s product by providing detailed security information and protecting main computer systems. It will also help Activeworx consolidate host security log data with other security and event information in a cost-effective way. “Third Brigade provides the response/remediation mechanism that is a key ‘leadership’ feature for vendors in the SIEM market, according to analysts,” says Third Brigade’s CTO Brian O'Higgins. Third Brigade’s Deep Security product shields vulnerabilities in Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, as well as enterprise and web applications common to healthcare providers, through firewall and intrusion detection and prevention.
