Gary Hannah

is named chairman of OCRI (Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation), succeeding outgoing Gary%20Hannah.JPGchair Deborah Weinstein, who will continue to sit as past chair. Former chair of OCRI Global Marketing Gary is the founder and CEO of Vocantas Inc., a provider of turnkey, speech-enabled interactive voice response systems. He is also president and CEO of Pronexus Inc., for which he orchestrated an employee buyout in 2001 from Cisco Systems. In a career spanning more than 25 years, Gary has worked in various sectors, including telecommunications, finance and manufacturing. Prior to his time with Vocantas and Pronexus, he was president and CEO of Internet start-up ThinWEB Technologies, where his business plan and overall strategy led to an IPO in the US. Before joining ThinWEB, Gary was vice president at JetForm. He has lived in Ottawa since 1995 and has two children.
