IDC Q4 net profits almost tripled
International Datacasting Corp. records fourth-quarter net earnings of $905,714 ($0.2 per basic share), nearly triple what it made in the same period last year. The satellite services company rang up $6.9 million in sales, a 59.1% increase. “This growth can be attributed to the added business of our new PROFLine subsidiary and the subsequent strengthening of our European business,” says IDC chief executive Ron Clifton, “as well as the launch of a number of critical new products and applications last year.” Earnings for the year, however, were decidedly less rosy, dropping 54.1% to $305 million ($0.1) per basic share, despite a 31% increase in revenue to $17.8 million.
