Internet protocol solutions vendor Mitel is tasked by Carleton University to deploy its Mitel Unified Communications platform throughout the 62-hectare campus. The scalable network will help Carleton meet its need for expanded voice communications as the university continues to grow. Over a multi-year migration from existing multiple telephony systems, the installation could encompass more than 7,000 lines, 4,000 handsets, unified messaging and various other applications.
