Telesat launches 17th

Telesat.jpgTelesat puts its new Anik F3 in space. The satellite operator’s 17th successful launch was staged at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The European-built orbiter will provide broadcasting and telecommunications capacity throughout North America. It will also supplement services currently being delivered by Telesat’s Anik F2. The satellite has an estimated mission life of 15 years.
