DIPIX makes sale to major flour products company

DIPIX Technologies Inc. sells its QualiVision technology to a new customer, a “leading manufacturer and marketer of value-added flour-based products”, for $300,000. The machine-vision inspection system will be used to automatically inspect, count and package breakfast biscuits for a major quick-service restaurant chain. “DIPIX technology fills an important role between the end of the manufacturing line and the beginning of the packaging line,” says John Lawrence, VP of sales and marketing. “We are pleased to add to our growing list of major manufacturers who use our products to enhance quality, improve productivity, and ultimately increase profits.” DIPIX, which is in the process of being bought by Ottawa industrial technology company Tarquin Group, has installed over 200 of its automated inspection solutions for customers such as McDonald’s, Weston and Sara Lee.
