He will be responsible for the company’s legal strategy, as well as disclosure and corporate governance obligations. Prior to joining Mosaid as corporate counsel in 2004, Philip was with law firm McCarthy Tétrault. He obtained a bachelor of laws (LLB) from the University of Windsor and a BA from Université Laval. Michael Vladescu, formerly VP, patents, is promoted to VP, licensing and intellectual property. In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s patent licensing, prosecution and acquisition activities. Michael joined Mosaid in 1996, with a background in design analysis. He has a bachelor of applied science, electrical engineering, from Waterloo, and an Executive MBA from Queen’s. Jin-Ki Kim, previously director of technology research and development, is appointed VP, research and development. Jin-Ki joined the company in 1997, following 12 years with Samsung Electronics. A prolific inventor, he holds 23 patents issued for his work in NAND Flash memory. He has a BS in electronics engineering from the University of Yonsei, Seoul, Korea.
