Paul Richman

is appointed chairman Paul%20Richman.JPGof the compensation committee at Wi-LAN, where he will lead a few select licensing negotiations. Currently chairman and CEO of the Consortium for Technology Licensing in New York, he is a recognized expert in the fields of integrated electronics, patent licensing and intellectual property management. Paul is the founder of Standard Microsystems Corporation, where he served in various positions over 29 years, including CEO and chairman, before retiring in 2000. He has served as an adjunct professor of electrical engineering at the City University of New York and a visiting professor at State University of New York. His two textbooks on metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect devices have been translated into Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Russian. Honoured internationally for his work, Paul was given Electronics Magazine’s Annual Award for Achievement, as well as several medals and awards for outstanding technical accomplishments from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He holds a BS from the MIT and a MS, electrical engineering, from Columbia.
