PIKA Technologies Inc., designer and manufacturer of plug-in media-processing hardware and software, signs Miami, Fla.-based CommLogik Corporation as a distributor in Latin America. “CommLogik’s expertise in the traditional telephony hardware-based market, as well as the VoIP/IP-PBX market, is synergistic with PIKA’s strategic direction,” says Terry Atwood, PIKA’s VP, sales, marketing and customer care. According to analyst firm IDC, the IP communications market in Latin America was expected to grow by 37% in 2006, mainly boosted by migration to pure IP-PBX systems and IP telephones.
