Stem Cell Network gets grant
Stem Cell Network, a uOttawa-hosted research organization, is receiving a $995,000 grant, part of a $5.9-million program by the Ministry of Industry, to further collaboration with similar Centres of Excellence around the world. Stem Cell Network, which focuses on the use of stem cell therapy to treat disease, will use the funding from the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) to establish ties with organizations, universities and industries in Australia, Israel, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and India.
