is named senior counsel, intellectual property, at Wi-LAN. Virpin has over 15 years of experience in various fields, including IP portfolio development and management. Prior to moving to Wi-LAN, he was legal counsel, intellectual property, at SMART Technologies. Virpin earned a law degree (LLB) from uOttawa, an MBA from Dalhousie and a BS (Hon.) from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. He enjoys reading and traveling but has time for little else. “Over the last few years, I have reduced my ‘outside’ interests in order to devote more time to my young family,” says Virpin.
