RAMTelecom providing satellite services for oil and gas exlporation

RAMTelecom is selected by Alberta’s Global Energy Services to provide satellite services for a communication network RAMTelecom.jpgthat will support oil and gas exploration undertaken in western Canada by “one of North America’s major oil and gas exploration and production companies.” RAMTelecom will provide Global with the satellite-based network infrastructure to enable broadband data, voice, fax and Internet communications from remote exploration rigs and camps, while Alberta’s Global Energy will supply the on-site equipment and systems, such as cell repeaters, mobile satellite phones and satellite connections, that will keep workers in touch with each other, head office, and friends and family. The one-year contract, which has an option to renew, represents a potential of $2 million in yearly joint revenue for RAMTelecom and Global.
