appoints Bill Byun and Jim McLean to its board. Jim is a partner at 3i Venture, and has nearly two decades of experience in the venture industry. Before joining 3i, he served as a partner at ComVentures. Previously, he was a founder of Bedrock Capital Partners, where he led the information technology practice. Over his career, Jim has led a number of successful investments, including UUNet (sold to Worldcom), Polycom and Alantec (sold to Fore Systems). He began his career in the technology industry with positions at IBM’s Thomas J. Watson Research Center, L.M. Ericsson and Network Equipment Technologies. Bill is a managing director of Samsung Ventures, focusing on semiconductor investments. Bill serves as a director or board observer of such companies as Alereon, AMEC and Sonics. Prior to Samsung Ventures, he held executive sales and marketing positions with Philips Semiconductor, KLA-Tencor, and Applied Materials. Bill received a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from Oxford.
