Thermal wins first customer for new program

Thermal Energy International Inc. signs one of North America’s largest forest products companies to an agreement for continuing services at one of Thermal%20Energy.jpgthe unnamed customer’s pulp and paper mills in Quebec. It is Thermal’s first contract for its THERMAL-AUD energy program, which uses the company’s FLU-ACE waste heat recovery system to capture radiant heat from boilers and convert it into energy for production processes. Thermal will receive regular payments throughout the term of the contract from the balance of the customer’s approximately $500,000 in energy savings annually. Through the energy services program, Thermal Energy owns and operates the energy-saving system for the duration of the contract, then gives the customer the choice to either renew the contract or purchase the system outright.
