GasTOPS Ltd. sells Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) four more MetalSCAN ship sets, in addition to the three MetalSCAN systems already fitted to NCL’s major cruise ships. MetalSCAN monitors the condition of bearings by detecting metallic particles carried within the oil system, which are telltale signs of hidden damage. The system has proven effective in triggering maintenance alerts long before failure occurs. With this sale, GasTOPS will now have its system for propulsion pod monitoring installed on 31 cruise ships worldwide.
