Local Nortel inventors honoured
Nortel names four employees from its R&D centre of excellence in Ottawa to the newly formed Technical Fellowship of Nortel Program, which recognizes the company’s top innovators. Nortel Technical Fellows for 2007 Peter Ashwood-Smith, Alan Graves, Kim Roberts, and Wen Tong, along with fifth program inductee Simon Brueckheimer, hold a total of more than 200 patents and have over 300 more pending. Their inventions have applications in a numerous domains, including data networking, switching, transmission, optical, 4G wireless, applications, and healthcare solutions.
