Seprotech revenue up
Water treatment systems maker Seprotech Systems Inc. enjoys its second sequential profitable quarter, as revenue for the period ended May 31 more than doubles to $2.4 from $953,000 a year earlier. The company posted net income of $133,000 ($.0) compared to a net loss of $288,000 ($.01 a share). “The mining sector continues to be a revenue driver and we are seeing a significant increase in inquiries from the emerging economies of Latin America where economic growth is strong,” says Seprotech CEO Martin Hauschild. The company recently agreed to a $396,000 private placement, consisting of 1.8 million share units at $.22 cents per unit, with a Toronto-based investment firm to help bring its products to market.
