Zarlink hit with more losses

Zarlink Semiconductor posts continued losses in Q1, as well as weaker sales, which slipped 4.4% to (all figures in $US) $30.6 million. Net loss for the period hit $5 million ($.05 five per diluted share), up from $900,000 ($.01 per share). Looking ahead, the company anticipates higher revenues following the closing of its purchase of communications technologies company Legerity Holdings Inc. and from an order backlog billable in Q2.
