Cognos’s performance management software has been selected by Bowater Inc. for its pulp and paper mills across the North America. Bowater has replaced its legacy performance management systems and standardized on Cognos 8 Business Intelligence and Cognos 8 Controller operation-wide. The Quebec-based company is using Cognos 8 BI to measure production across its 12 pulp and paper mills and measure sales initiatives, while employing Cognos 8 Controller to consolidate general financial ledgers.
