Elliptic co-developing new security chip

Elliptic Semiconductor Inc. partners with a Seattle-based Impinj Inc. to co-develop a chip that will help protect copyrighted digital content. Integrating Elliptic’s and Impinj’s respective security technology, the two companies will develop a secure, standards-based system-on-chip (SoC) reference architecture for content protection applications such as digital rights management and conditional access. The resulting product will combat software piracy by strengthening software security features.
