uOttawa gets $6.8 million to help combat terrorism
University of Ottawa receives $6.8 million from the federal government to develop three high tech solutions to help counter terrorist threats. The money will fund researchers developing 1) an early-warning disease monitoring system; 2) tools to train mental health professionals dealing with the psychological trauma of terrorism, and 3) a standardized inventory system for hazardous materials.
