More orders for steam traps

Thermal%20Energy.jpgGreen energy systems vendor Thermal Energy International Inc. nets $125,000 worth of orders for the GEM steam trap system. The Ottawa-based company has taken three new orders for the GEM Condensate Return System, plus an engineering contract from a customer who is integrating the system with one of Thermal’s older FLU-ACE waste heat recovery and steam systems. Manufactured by the company’s U.K.-based partner Gardner Energy Management, the GEM system can save up to 50% in the cost of steam production over traditional steam traps by reducing leakage and maintenance. The orders are from the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and pulp and paper sectors, the company reports.
