$17.5 raised
Wireless mesh equipment maker BelAir Networks raises $17.5 million in Series-E funding. New investor Wellington Financial LP provided $5.5 million to the Ottawa-based company, while Export Development Canada
and a group of existing investors came in with $12 million in equity financing. “BelAir Networks was recently named the new worldwide wireless mesh node market leader based on revenue and this funding will help fuel the company's solid growth trajectory,” says BelAir Networks’ CEO, Bernard Herscovich. “Our success in delivering proven, reliable and high performance mesh networks for public safety interoperability, citywide wireless networks and demanding enterprise applications has created growing demand for our products globally.” BelAir says that proceeds from the financing round will be used to drive the company's global expansion strategy.
