Resort deployment

BelAir Networks deploys a broadband mesh network at the sprawling Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando, Florida. BelAir worked with Sprint to install the network, which includes 85 BelAir100C access nodes across the resort. “BelAir Networks continues to gain significant market share in the hospitality and venue industry,” notes Jim Freeze, BelAir.jpgSVP, marketing and alliances, BelAir. “Increasingly, hotels, stadiums and resorts are looking for the same high performance, reliability and QoS provided by traditional wired networks in their facilities. Broadband wireless access has gone from an amenity to a ‘must-have’ service and BelAir Networks wireless mesh technology leads the field.” The installation provides high-speed wireless access in guest rooms, amenities, public areas and more than 1,400 villas. Sprint, the provider of voice and data services for the resort, is managing and maintaining the system. California-based market researcher Dell’Oro Group recently named the BelAir Networks the top, worldwide provider of wireless mesh nodes based on revenue.
