An agreement between DragonWave and Virginia-based Nextlink Wireless Inc. will see two DragonWave solutions used to help bring wireless service to up to 75 US markets. The deal will see Nextlink, the largest local multipoint distribution service wireless spectrum holder in the US, purchase an unspecified number of DragonWave’s AirPair and Horizon Compact products to support its broadband wireless services. “The need for scalable, easy-to-deploy and cost-effective wireless links optimized for high-capacity networking is gathering momentum, and we are very pleased to have been selected by Nextlink,” says DragonWave CEO Peter Allen. “We look forward to continuing to work closely with Nextlink to address their customers' evolving needs for broadband services.”
