Chilean installation
Gatineau-based SolaCom Technologies is installing its Liberty-STAR voice communication control system at the Quellón Airport on the island of Chiloé, Chile. The made-to-order system, which includes six radio interfaces and 24 telephone interfaces, is part of a major renovation of airport facilities. “SolaCom is focused on providing systems tailored to specific customer requirements,” says Pierre Plangger, VP of SolaCom’s ATC sales and marketing division. “Our ability to provide a mix of touch screen and push button operator positions for Quellón demonstrates how our flexible, scalable solutions can be tailored to meet our customer’s operational needs.” SolaCom’s technology, which enables interoperability over any network infrastructure, is used in air traffic control, homeland security, public networks, the military, marine communication, emergency response, and other mission-critical applications.
