Hughes sale

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. is providing Maryland-based Hughes Network Systems LLC with iNetVu mobile antennas in a deal worth between $300,000 and $500,000, depending on the final number of antennas agreed upon. Hughes is using C-COM’s product to provide its HughesNet broadband satellite service to a major and gas services company C-COMLogo%5B1%5D.jpg(the world’s second-largest, according to C-COM), which will in turn use them for communicating via satellite with vehicles and movable structures in remote exploration areas. “The C-COM-manufactured antennas are already deployed worldwide by a number of energy exploration companies, providing invaluable service to this sector by delivering instant satellite communications (data, video, and voice) in areas where there are no other means of connectivity,” says C-COM boss Leslie Klein. “It is gratifying to see one of the world’s leading providers of products and services to the energy industry included in this growing list of iNetVu mobile customers.”
