40% growth

SiGe Semiconductor records US$69 million in revenue for 2007, achieving 40% year-over-year growth on increased sales in the computing, home entertainment and mobile markets. The supplier of RF front-end solutions for wireless multimedia consumer electronics says its strong year was also the result of an expanded product line, new contracts with household-SiGe.JPGname customers, including HP, Apple, Lenovo, Nintendo, and Samsung, and its capture of “a significant share of the market supplying GPS radios to personal navigation devices.” In addition, 2007 saw the company entering new markets and adding to its lineup of reseller companies. “I am extremely pleased with the progress SiGe made in 2007. We’ve introduced leading-edge technology, and secured marquee customers that include some of the industry’s leading names in consumer electronics,” says William Burke, SiGe’s chief financial officer. “We’ve expanded our channel partners, and boosted our local design support to more effectively see designs to production. We will continue these strategies to ensure our continued success at revenue and market share growth during the next fiscal year.”
