SolaCom Technologies is having its communication system placed into 30 new vessels commissioned by the Taiwanese Navy. “The Taiwan Navy has a unique application, given the requirement to provide mission-critical communications in all kinds of sea conditions,” says Pierre Plangger, SolaCom’s VP of air traffic control sales and marketing. Gatineau-based SolaCom previously furnished the Taiwanese Air Force with multiple communication systems for its mobile and fixed air traffic control towers.
