US company bought

In-Touch Survey Systems Ltd. is acquiring Minneapolis-based MarketLine Research Inc. for an undisclosed sum. The deal will give the Ottawa-based electronic survey data collection products company access to MarketLine’s customers in the US In-Touch.JPGmidwest and its complementary MarketVU system, a computer-aided telephone interviewing system used to conduct surveys and add up the collected data. The buy will also give In-Touch a base in the US, as MarketLine owns a call centre staffed by University of Minnesota students. “The addition of the MarketVU technology moves In-Touch closer to our strategic goal of being the leading supplier of real-time, mobile, data collection and reporting technology to Fortune 1000 marketing and operations departments,” says In-Touch CEO Michael Gaffney. “We are looking forward to the immediate positive impact from MarketLine to increase In-Touch revenues.” MarketLine had more than $750,000 in revenue last calendar year, according to In Touch.
