Agreement with Motorola

Espial locks up a software licencing and distribution deal with Motorola that will see the electronics giant resell Espial’s Evo Internet-protocol (IP)TV service platform to operators worldwide. Terms of the agreement call for the Ottawa-based Espial.JPGprovider of IPTV middleware and applications to train and support the Motorola team with regards to its technologies, which enable services such as radio TV, digital-video recording and pay-per-view. “This reseller agreement represents another important milestone in Espial’s channel development strategy, says Jaison Dolvane, Espial’s president and CEO. “Motorola brings a depth of experience and leadership in providing digital video system solutions and interactive set-top devices around the globe. They are well positioned to capitalize on the increasing demand for IPTV and hybrid IP-digital video broadcast systems.”
