Contest to envision future of telecom
Canada’s Telecommunications Hall of Fame is holding a competition to find tomorrow’s potential inductees. The Future Telecom Leaders Contest, open to post-secondary Canadian residents, is offering $3,000 in scholarships and 10 seats at the 2008 Telecom Laureate Awards gala, to entrants who best answer the question, How can Canada become a recognized global leader in telecom in the next 10 years? “The Future Telecom Leaders Contest is an important initiative of the Hall of Fame’s educational program,” says Lorne Abugov, founder and director. “One part of our mission is to inspire young Canadians to take up employment in the Canadian telecom industry and contribute to its leadership on the international stage.” Learn more under Educational Programs at telecomhall.ca, or by contacting Christine Johnson at christinej@telecomhall.ca.
