TheCodeFactory, Carleton offering opportunities for students

TheCodeFactory, a recently launched collaborative co-working space and incubator in the heart of centretown, has teamed up with Carlton U. managed initiatives Talent First Network (TFN) and The Foundry Program to help entrepreneurial students and recent graduates meet and connect with the TCF.JPGOttawa startup community. The partnership will give Carleton's tech savvy students, through a Carleton membership, access to the TheCodeFactory’s three meeting rooms, business services (print, scan, fax, photocopy) area, and casual work area where members can work-connect to the Internet via Wifi. “TheCodeFactory is far more than just a physical place to incubate ideas,” says Tony Bailetti, director of the provincially funded TFN. “I look forward to having our students and future entrepreneurial leaders participate in TheCodeFactory’s novel programs…What we need to drive massive innovation in Ottawa is many small innovation hubs like TheCodefactory, all linked to early buyers worldwide. Mechanisms that enable our innovators working anywhere in Ottawa to collaborate with early buyers at the start of the innovation cycle can produce significant benefits for our community.” TheCodeFactory is located at 246 Queen Street, between Bank and Kent.
