March gear hooked up to Mexican tow trucks
March Networks’ IP-based mobile digital video surveillance software and recording systems are selected by Mexico City for the fleet of 500
tow trucks operated by its Ministry of Public Security. The technology will allow city workers to monitor towing operations in real time over a cellular network and provide recorded video evidence to help resolve complaints and counter false liability claims. The solution has already been installed in 175 trucks managed by the ministry, which in 2007 removed some 325,000 illegally-parked vehicles from Mexico City’s downtown core, generating more than US$16 million in revenue, according to March.
