Gatineau-based SolaCom Technologies receives an order from Ottawa’s Intelcan for two Liberty-STAR voice communication and control systems, destined for the latter’s air traffic control operations in Central Africa.
The VCCS systems, including touch-screen operator positions, and radio and telephone interfaces, are seen as key to improving air traffic control in the area, says SolaCom. The privately-held company has installed similar systems in Algeria and Nigeria.
