$100M training contract

Threat response products maker Allen-Vanguard Corp. is awarded an estimated $100 million contract to provide the US Department of Defense Allen-Vanguard.JPGwith specialized training over five years beginning next fiscal year. “Allen-Vanguard was instrumental in innovating this specialized training program and has been the incumbent since inception,” says CEO David Luxton. “We are very pleased to now see it expand from proof of concept to a Program of Record, and proud to be supporting the efforts of the US war.” Due to the classified nature of the program, the company is not releasing any more information. The new contract comes none too soon for the debt-besieged Ottawa company, which was recently given a deferment after missing a $10-million payment on a line of credit established with a syndicate of lenders led by RBC.
