QNX Software Systems is taking its technology to the Asia Pacific region, with help from Taiwanese global embedded solutions provider Advantech. The Ottawa-based maker of the Neutrino real-time operating system (RTOS) says its new reseller will market the embedded operating system technology for the industrial control market to its Asia Pacific customers, paired with Adantech’s hardware applications, including panel PCs, vehicle-mounted monitors and embedded computing PC modules. QNX’s RTOS solution runs mission-critical systems used in such sectors as manufacturing, process automation, robotics and medical instrumentation.
