International Datacasting Corp. receives an order for its satellite receivers from Internet service provider SSI Micro, based in International%20Broadcasting%20Logo.jpgYellowknife. The ISP will use IDC’s equipment to upgrade its high-speed, satellite-based Internet service for more than 60 northern communities. “We are pleased to be working with SSI Micro, a leader in the community, and proud that our products continue to be used to provide much-needed connectivity across Northern Canada,” says CEO Ron Clifton. “Our SFX3101 DVB-S2 satellite receivers continue to lead the way in the market with features that include ease of connectivity to terrestrial Internet protocol networks as well as advanced modulation and high-speed performance.” SSI Micro noted that the upgrade would result in a 3% to 7% gain in satellite efficiency.
