Enablence makes another buy
Optical technology company Enablence Technologies Inc. makes another acquisition, adding New Hampshire-based Pannaway Technologies Inc. to its growing list of subsidiaries. The company is issuing 25.75 million of its common
shares in exchange for all outstanding shares of Pannaway, which is Enablence’s third corporate buy since March of last year. Ottawa-based Enablence says it will merge Pannaway, a provider broadband access technology maker, with its FTTx Networks division, giving it one of broadest set of access solutions in the industry and an expanded customer base of 420 customers, according to Enablence CEO Arvind Chhatbar. In a bid to become a frontrunner in the fibre-to-premise market, Enablence has in less than two years acquired Switzerland-based photodiode manufacturer Albis Optoelectronics, ANDevices, an optical wafer maker company, and Wave7, which makes access platforms that enable triple-play voice, video and data services.
