New division wins contract in Texas
Wireless optical equipment maker Plaintree Systems Inc. wins a US$2.8-million deal through recently acquired Triodetic to engineer and manufacture architectural details for a building at the University of Texas Hospital in Houston. “Triodetic has been a large contributor of key architectural details at the campus,” says Plaintree CEO David Watson. “This particular contract is for a heavily engineered tiara at the top of a 25-storey building which serves as a crowning detail to the building. The structure will also incorporate and camouflage the structural steel required for the window washing gantries.” Plaintree, located in Arnprior, bought metal engineering company Triodetic last April.
