Vests suit CBSA

Pacific Safety Products Inc. signs a PSP.JPGmajor, multi-year contract to provide the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) with soft body armour. Worth up to $14.4-million, the deal will see PSP, beginning this quarter, provide CBSA with protective vests for potentially the next four years. “We are pleased that CBSA has placed their confidence in PSP for this vital product in the protection of its agents,” says CEO David Scott. “Our ability to be innovative and responsive to our customers’ needs demonstrates PSP’s leadership in the personal body armour market in Canada.” This latest deal comes a week after PSP said it would be laying off 8% of its non-manufacturing workforce to cut costs in the face of the current economic downturn.
