Contract with US military
Allen-Vanguard Corp. wins a potential $7.5-million deal with the US Department of Defense through UK subsidiary Hazard Management Solutions Inc., which has operations in the United States. The contract calls for Hazard to provide training and operational support to the US military for the crew vehicle receiver/jammer (CREW) system, which disrupts transmission signals for radio-controlled IEDs such as roadside bombs. The deal is initially worth about $2.1 million for one year, with an option for two more years at $5.4 million.
