The Canadian navy becomes OSI Geospatial Inc.’s first customer for its latest product, receiving a $1.1 million-order for the Ottawa-based company’s command, control and information systems (C2IS). Used to support port security and maritime interdiction operations, C2IS allows secure transmission of information between small patrol vessels, mother ships, airborne assets and land-based facilities. OSI says the system will be installed over the next few months.
