More cuts at March
OTTAWA – March Networks Corp. is laying off approximately 20 more jobs worldwide and lowering salaries to save about $3.2
million yearly in operating costs. The cutbacks will eliminate close to 7% of the company’s global workforce and see the salaries of North American executives and staff reduced by 6%, says the digital security products maker, easing the stress incurred by the economic slide. “The company continues to remain focused on the execution of its strategic objectives of global growth and improving its operating profitability,” says CEO Peter Strom. “These measures will provide the company with greater flexibility to achieve those objectives within the context of a challenging economy environment.” Last August March cut 8% of its global staff, which then totaled roughly 440.
