Systems for US airports
GATINEAU, QC – SolaCom Technologies receives three orders for its Liberty-STAR voice communication control system (VCCS) from airports in Missouri, Texas and Oregon. The company says its VCCS, which allows communications interoperability over any network infrastructure, will be installed in accordance with the FAA’s contract tower program established in 1982 to enhance safety, improve air traffic control services to smaller airports in the US, as well as provide cost savings to the FAA. The new system will include touch-screen operator positions, radio and telephone interfaces, and recorder ports, among other features. SolaCom is the fastest-growing provider of VCCS systems for contract towers in the US, according to the company.
