Iristel converting MTS Allstream traffic
TORONTO – VoIP services company Iristel Inc. signs a deal with major Canadian telecom player MTS Allstream Inc., which will
use Iristel’s Virtual Signalling solution for converting voice traffic to IP-based traffic for routing through its IP network. Iristel says the technology will allow MTS to eliminate the expense of backhauling certain portions of its traffic to the US. Established in 1999, Iristel has offices in Egypt and Romania, as well as domestic operator licences in Algeria, Dominica and Romania.
