Andy White named CEO of Trilliant

White%2C%20Andy129X165.jpgSmart grid solutions provider Trilliant Inc. appoints energy industry veteran Andrew White (left) as president and CEO. He assumes the top job from founder Bill Vogel, who has taken on the role of SVP of strategic Vogel%2C%20Bill128X169.jpgdevelopment. Mr. White joins the company after a distinguished career with General Electric, where he began as an engineer at GE Mobile Radio. In 1994 he was named general manager of GE Energy Services, Asia Pacific, and became a GE corporate officer in 2002. He also served as president and CEO of GE Nuclear Energy and, most recently, as president and CEO of GE New Energy Ventures. Mr. White has served on 12 boards and as an advisor to two universities. He is currently chairman of the World Nuclear Association. Headquartered in Redwood City, Calif., Trilliant has offices in Concord, Ont. and Granby, Que. It is also one of the companies behind the large smart meter deployment at Ontario's Hydro One.
