Ontario univerities enrol in OCE-IBM cloud computing pilot
The Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) and IBM take cloud computing to the halls of higher learning, in a
pilot project that will give universities access to some of Big Blue’s cutting-edge business software. Cloud computing, a new tool emerging from IBM Canada Centre for Advanced Studies, will provide Ontario university students, professors and other researchers with 24/7 access to IBM’s WebSphere Integration Developer and Rational Software Architect over the Internet. Administered by tech commercialization hub OCE, the project has enrolled university participants that include uWaterloo, York, Queen’s, U of T and Carleton. Click here for more information.
