DALSA founder honoured

Dr. Savvas Chamberlain%2C%20Savvas104X161.jpgChamberlain, founder of Waterloo-based digital imaging company DALSA Corp., is made a fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada at EIC’s Annual Awards Gala in Ottawa. Recognized for “exceptional contributions ... excellence in engineering and service to the profession and society,” the science professor of 30 years at the University of Waterloo is a noted philanthropist, having established endowments for undergraduate and graduate students at both UW and Wilfrid Laurier University. Among his many accomplishments and undertakings, Dr. Chamberlain played an integral role in establishing UW’s first microelectronics lab.
